Breathing Easier at Silver Healthcare Center
Silver Healthcare Center’s dedicated ventilator unit, led by board-certified pulmonologists, focuses on promoting the highest level of lung function for residents in need of long or short-term ventilator support.
To best address vent care residents’ specialized needs, our 32-bed designated unit is fully equipped with cutting-edge and medically advanced equipment. Each spacious room comes complete with piped-in oxygen and easily accommodates any additional required equipment. A multi-function alarm system enhances resident safety.
Weaning & Extubation
Our respiratory team is determined to safely liberate residents from the ventilator whenever appropriate. Our respiratory therapist performs daily bedside weaning parameters, carefully monitoring residents’ progress. Trach tube changes and removal are all performed in-house.

A Safe Space at Silver Healthcare Center
Silver Healthcare Center’s independent Behavioral Health wing is a warm, welcoming and safe space for residents whose behaviors could be detrimental to themselves or others, and who therefore cannot be placed in a traditional long-term care setting.
Silver Healthcare Center’s independent Behavioral Wellness Unit is a welcoming, custom-built unit staffed and equipped to care for and residents with heightened health conditions and/or behavioral needs.
Silver Healthcare Center is proud to be one of the few skilled nursing facilities in NJ to provide such care, and we do so with dedication and determination to protect the dignity and health of those in our care. This 40-bed unit consists of single occupancy rooms, as well as a gym and therapy room.
Comprehensive, Compassionate Care
Our program includes medical and behavioral care, alongside exercise, recreational activities and other forms of therapy and services to help our residents control, manage or redirect behaviors in a healthy way. High resident-to-staff ratio allows for one-on-one and smaller group activities.
